Private investigator Bill Clutter, founder of Investigating Innocence is featured in the podcast Murder in Illinois, produced by Lauren Bright Pacheco and iHeartRadio. The podcast tells the story of Christopher Vaughn, who was wrongfully convicted after prosecutors in Will County dismissed the findings of the crime scene investigator assigned by the Illinois State Police that the forensic evidence supported a murder-suicide committed by Vaughn’s wife. A week after the CSI was removed from the case once he voiced objections to their theory that Christopher killed his family, pointing out that the bullet trajectories conflicted with their theory, Christopher Vaughn was arrested. He faced the death penalty, but was convicted of four life sentences. He remains in prison today. To read more about his case go to www.InvestigatingInnocence.org
